It may surprise you to know that how you see most images in online photography galleries suck in comparison to how we photographers see them while processing them in our image processing software. This is because most browsers do not apply the same “color profile” (the set of colors used in the digital photograph) to the image when displaying it in your browser.
Without going into details that will probably bore you to tears, I’m happy to say that Firefox 3 supports color management. It’s not turned on by default, though, but it’s easy to enable by yourself.
