I invited Ange GoGo over tonight for a “scary Geisha” shoot using a kimono I borrowed from a friend. She brought along her own makeup artist to handle the laborious process of applying the white body paint. Ange was excited about doing an Asian-themed shoot, and I was surprised no one had asked her to do one in the past.
The girls were both good sports, in spite of the fact that the makeup was difficult to get even and poor Ange’s nails kept falling off. But we persevered, and two hours later (yes, two) we were ready to shoot.
Although we weren’t aiming for authenticity, I think Ange did a great job of emulating the Japanese performer’s haunting poses. Thanks Ange! We had a great time.
