A Day at the Park

I took my 4 year old son, Kiefer, to the Nathanael Greene Park late last week, just to get outside for a while. As any good photographer/parent will do, I brought my camera. My Kids, Martin Schoeller Style

As an artist, I have always made it a point to study the works of other photographers. Their different styles and techniques are an inspiration to try new things with light, composition or subject matter. Recently I became intrigued by the work of Martin Schoeller. His straightforward, extreme close-ups of famous (and not so famous) people are full of detail and very “in your face,” if you’ll pardon the pun. (more…)
