What kind of photography do you do?
I have always been a very open-minded, liberal personality. I have experienced both the ultra-conservative and the ultra-alternative. I am also an artist to my very core. Everything I shoot has artist merit; every photograph I take is intended to result in a work of art. Having done a plethora of fine art & conceptual photography, I am no stranger to nudity. I am open to any ideas you may have, no matter how crazy you might think they are, as long as they have artistic merit.
How do I book a session?
I firmly believe in allowing my clients as much flexibility as possible. To this end, I encourage a personal consultation to get to know each other and address your individual needs. To start the booking process or make an inquiry, simply complete and submit the form on my booking page. From there, the procedure is as follows:
Is there a deposit or retainer fee?
For model sessions I require the entire session fee on or preferably before the session date. This fee is a non-refundable retainer that guarantees your date. If you wait to pay on the day of the session I reserve the right to cancel in favor of any client who has paid a retainer and needs to reschedule. For commissions, the retainer is 33% the total, with the balance due 30 days before the session date. I do understand there can be unusual circumstances, and I can set up payments on request.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel or reschedule for any reason, I ask that you do so before 48 hours of your scheduled session. Because I have set aside specific time for your session, your retainer fee is non-refundable. However, the retainer will apply if you reschedule within 48 hours of cancellation.
Can I bring a friend?
For most sessions you may bring along a friend or significant other, as long as they are willing to not interfere. They’re especially welcome if they are willing to help carry stuff! For model sessions I advise strongly against the significant other, as they can actually make you more self-conscious or actually try to get involved in the shoot. You are ultimately responsible for anyone you bring with you, and I reserve the right to cancel the shoot at any time based on their behavior.
Will you retouch my photographs?
Final images will always have at least minor retouching performed as part of my post-processing workflow. I remove blemishes and even out the skin tone to a certain degree without making you look plastic. I can also hide small scars, moles and other imperfections on request. Model portfolio images get much more extensive retouching, and commissions are on an individual basis. Extra retouching such as reshaping the face or giving a digital tummy tuck are on an image-by-image basis and incurs an extra charge.
When will I see my pictures?
In general, most sessions take about about two weeks to process depending on the individual session and my workload at the time. We will schedule a personal viewing for commissions for a date two or three weeks after our session. At that time I will come to your home, or some other place of your choosing, to show you your images and discuss prints. Both commissions and model sessions will receive a private, 60-day online gallery.
What else do I get with my session?
Every session gives you my pick of your images in a private, 60-day online proofing gallery where you can download branded, web-ready images suitable for posting to social networking sites like Facebook. You may also order prints or other products from this site. I have print and digital image packages for models, and I can provide canvas prints, photo books, calendars and more for commissioned work.
Do I get a CD/DVD of my photographs?
Models will receive a CD/DVD of branded, web-ready images, usually two or three for each look from the session. Depending on the image package you choose, it may also include print-sized digital images for modeling agencies.
Can I request to keep my images private?
All models will sign a Model Release that gives me permission to use the images online or in print for marketing and promotional purposes at any time. Rest assured that I do use discretion when selecting publicly-displayed images, and will generally ask opinion for publication in print or for competition. For commissioned work, we will discuss public use of your images.
